Rainbow Bridge

Rainbow bridge, where Kitty is waiting to lead you home.

[On/Off]

"Somewhere, Over The Rainbow"

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge...

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

Your beloved fur-babies are waiting for you at Rainbow Bridge.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Rainbow Bridge Is For Humans, Too!

Our furry friends, being more spiritually advanced than we are (and I say this because they are always living "in the Now", while we strive to attain the ability to do so), already know the way to Rainbow Bridge. That's why they wait to guide us home, But, we can get there on our own, to meet them and resume our loving rapport, with training, practice, and effort. All we have to do is to acknowledge that we, too, have become aware of our connection to Spirit. Some will want to travel on their own, but for those who are new to the concept, Anodea Judith offers the following explanation:

"Crossing the Rainbow Bridge is a mythic metaphor for the evolution of consciousness. Historically the rainbow has always been a sign of hope, a colorful arc of beauty that connects Earth to Heaven and humans to the Gods. To walk the Rainbow Bridge is to reclaim our own divinity and bring Heaven down to Earth, where it is so desperately needed at this time. Earth is our home, where spirit matters, and matter is an embodiment of spirit. To take part in the recreation of this bridge, we invite you to take a journey through the seven vibratory levels of consciousness, related to the ancient system of energy centers known as chakras. In so doing, you create a central axis within yourself, evolving your own awareness, and hence that of the world. As we recreate the growing web of Gaia consciousness known as the noosphere, the healing and evolution of each one of us becomes crucial. Join us in bridging this web with the full spectrum of the rainbow and its seven potent levels of human awareness."(Interested? Learn more here)

Feline Spirit

And God asked the feline spirit
Are you ready to come home?
Oh, yes, quite so, replied the precious soul
And, as a cat, I am most able
To decide anything for myself
Are you coming then? asked God.
Soon, replied the whiskered angel
But I must come slowly.
For my human friends are troubled.
For you see, they need me, quite certainly.
But don't they understand? asked God
That you'll never leave them?
That your souls are intertwined for all eternity?
That nothing is created or destroyed?
It just is...forever and ever and ever.
Eventually they will understand,
Replied the glorious cat.
For I will whisper into their hearts
That I am always with them
I just am...forever and ever and ever.
